Mauritius baby moon

The video below is of our 7 day vacation in Mauritius:
(Edited by my husband Ashley.)

I was almost 5 months pregnant when we decided to take a baby moon and holiday in Mauritius.

We took an early morning flight to Johannesburg from Cape Town and then flew to Mauritius around 11 am.
We arrived there around 4 pm.
Our driver was there to meet us and it was another 45 minutes drive in the shuttle before we got to our resort, Le Victoria.

We were thrilled to hear that Le Victoria had given us an upgrade for our room! Exhausted after the long flight, we unpacked and went down to the restuarant for dinner.

We chose an all inclusive package as we wanted to splurge a bit before the birth of Quade as we were sure it would be a long while before we travel again.

The resort itself is gorgeous!
There is a massive swimming pool area with a bar and restaurant on either side. The food was amazing but breakfast was my favorite because chocolate croissants and waffles!

We had a view of the ocean from our bedroom and the room itself was beautiful and elegant.

Le Victoria is very family friendly and family orientated and the resort has a "kiddie club.''
The kids absolutely loved going as there is a schedule of fun activities for the children each day.

The kiddie club is also open until 8pm so Ashley and I went to one of the two restaurants on the resort, and because we could leave the children in safe hands, Ashley and I were also able to have some alone time and go on a few adventures.
One particular adventure that we went on alone was to the local town on bicycles that we hired from the resort.
We then cycled to the local beach and had some quality time to just sit and relax.

Boat trips are available at an extra cost and we decided to go out for the day. The children came with but did not enjoy being in the big blue sea as much as we did, so they sat on the boat while we snorkeled and fed the fish pieces of bread.
The fish came so close that we cold feed them bread right out of our hands!

There are canoes and stand up paddle boards and we tried to go out and do these activities each day. The children joined us some days, but some days they chose to rather go to kiddie club.

On the day of our return home, we left the hotel at 11am for the 2pm flight. Our flight was delayed because of bad weather conditions, and we were meant to be home by 10pm that night but only got home at 3:30am the next morning.
We were beyond exhausted.

It was an absolutely amazing time and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Mauritius.
